Nine Days Later

Nine days ago, the raised bed of beans looked like this:

Today, it looks like this:

Nine days ago, the tomato plants, the lone pepper plants were tiny.  The cucumber seeds were hiding under the dirt:

And today, the tomatoes are growing nicely:

Cucumber seeds have germinated and are through the dirt:

The pea plants are full of blossoms:

And a few peas have grown:

Maxie samples the first pea pods of the season.

One taste and she is begging for more.  Sorry my little girl, there aren't any more ready to pick.  Maybe tomorrow.

Happy growing.

A pea-eating dog?!! That's wild.

So what are those little pots doing in the ground (the ones with the cucumbers around them)? I've never seen that before.

And why are you not coming to BlogFest? Or are you?

CG - see my post on 5/22 for an explanation on the pots. It works!

Maxie is the queen of veg eaters and will steal from the garden if the plants fall over and she can reach them.

The jury's out on BlogFest. I've got a few things going on and I'm not sure if I can go. But I'm hoping we can meet after school is out.

I am so jealous! I would love to raised beds, but no one in my family likes veges but me. Well, I am worth it! Maybe next year ;0)
