While cruising blogs (when I should have been doing something more productive), I came across this wonderful idea on Simply Catholic - A 40 Trash Bag Challenge
Here are the guidelines she chose:
1. Pick what size of trash bag you want to use. I used tall kitchen bags.
2. Each week day for eight weeks fill one bag (or equivalent). It can be a bag of stuff, toys, clothes, papers – anything, a box of books, an old TV. Anything that you can count as clutter is fair game.
3. Update on your blog how it goes.
4. Have fun.
I like this idea - Lord knows my house could use a massive purging - especially the basement. I don't know if I will be able to fill forty bags in forty days, but I will aim to get rid of forty bags worth of things I no longer need or use by the summer. My husband and I have planned to start working on the basement this weekend, so I'll let you know how I am progressing. Feel free to join me and let me know how you're doing.

A great idea!! You know, you're about the 10th person I've either talked to, seen of facebook or their blog that's talking about the stuff/junk/debris/crap surrounding them and how they've begun purging. Must be something in the air. And, yup, I'm firmly on this particular purging bandwagon! Great idea!
i do believe i can do 40 bags in a day if i dont wear out first...
