My cleaning and pitching and donating spree is on a bit of a break. I've been helping my husband and siblings get their mom's house ready to put it up for sale. Since my father-in-law passed away about two and a half years ago, it's been tough keeping up with the house - both physically and on a fixed income. So it's time to downsize again and look for something more manageable.
Saturday a week ago, I spent the day cleaning windows, blinds and ceiling fans and washing curtains. Today, I cleaned the kitchen and bathroom from top to bottom so only maintenance is needed in those rooms. Now I'm not a clean fanatic, but I realize that we all need to pitch in and get things ready for putting the house on the market.
But tomorrow, I'll be working on my own house - spring cleaning time. Oh how my hands will suffer.
