But while I haven't done as much as I thought I would have by now, I have been working in the yard and have cleaned out five paper lawn bags and two garbage cans of garden refuse. I have cleaned out under most all of the trees and shrubs (and we have a lot of them) in both the front and back yards, clipped some dead branches from trees and shrubs and learned to use the lawn blower/vac! Plus I mowed and fertilized the lawn and cleaned two cars. So, while the basement is not yet finished being cleaned, I have not sat idle. For a few hours at least.

Tossing out Crap update
I've been a bit lax in working on the basement - until tonight. Tonight I tackled the boxes and tubs of old paper work - bills, statements, pay stubs and other assorted stuff. I filled three and a half garbage bags of paper to be shredded. In two weeks, the real estate agency we used to sell our last home and also used to purchase our rental property will be having a shredding day at their office, so I made up my mind to take advantage of having access to a big old shredder and work on that part of the basement clean up tonight. It took almost two hours, but it felt good to see the progress. And in the process, I found my son's high school diploma and awards, some pictures of family and friends, pictures of my two knee surgeries, school and sports photos and many other things.
