Friday night, my husband and I got an opportunity to go to New York to see
Colin Quinn in
"Long Story Short" for a second time. Colin (and I can call him that) is an old friend of a friend of ours, MD. The show is a 75 minute one man show and chronicles the history of the world in a way that would make our history teachers cringe. And then they would laugh. A lot. We got to see the show over the summer just before it's opening at an off Broadway theater and loved it. It has since moved to the Helen Hayes Theater on Broadway and has gotten better with age.
After the show, we were invited to Colin's dressing room for a visit. What a truly nice guy. He was warm and friendly (though tired) and chatted with us for about 20 minutes before we left to get a bite to eat. He was kind enough to sign a program for my brother and pose for this picture with my husband and I:
The show is terrific, the theater quaint and intimate - I give it two thumbs up and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun evening out.

Big Brother's a history major. He would love this!
Sounds like a nice time. Did not know that I rubbed elbows with semi-celebrities... :)
That is wonderful! And I love the new Header!
That looks like something both GB and I would enjoy!
