Last Supper?

I wish I was one of those awesome bloggers who carry a camera around with them at all times, but I'm lucky if I can remember my wallet and phone.  Today after an emergency trip to the dentist to have a crown re-cemented (stupid Tootsie Roll), followed by an emergency trip to the Wal-Marts to get OJ to make glazed carrots for Thursday, I headed home through a small neighborhood that has a corn field in it.  And the field was full of wild turkeys munching on what ever they could find after the field had been cut and plowed.  Having only my cell phone on me, and it's only a basic flip phone not a fancy iPhone or Blackberry like the other members of my family use, I quickly snapped a few pictures.

I have seen turkeys on this field and walking though this neighborhood before, but I have never seen this many - I'm guessing that there were at least 20 of them.  Lucky for them, it's a "no hunting" area, so this won't be their last supper.

gobble gobble! Little Brother said he saw a bunch of them during his school-bus ride home today.

Pulled into TSAnnie's driveway the other day and eight had to get out of the way and another 8 were in the backyard...they all headed for the heavy brush. Think they sense the week ahead? Happy Thanksgiving!
